Virgil van Dijk played for Willem II during his youth career.
He joined Southampton in September 2015 with a five-year contract that was extended to June 2022 in May 2016.
Virgil joined Liverpool in January 2018 with a contract to June 2022 for a reported fee of £75million; a world record fee for a defender.
His Reds contract was extended to June 2025 in August 2021 and to June 2027 in April 2025.
