Marcus Rashford was selected on Manchester United's subs bench for the first time on 21 November 2015 in a Premier League game at Watford.
Only three months after making his United debut, at 18 years and 208 days on 27 May 2016 against Australia at Sunderland, he became the youngest player to score on his England debut.
The previous record holder was Tommy Lawton who was 19 years and 16 days old when he netted on his international bow against Wales on 22 October 1938. It was later broken by Myles Lewis-Skelly against Albania in March 2025 (18 years and 176 days).
Marcus became the tenth youngest-ever player to appear for England and the third youngest scorer after Wayne Rooney (17 years and 317 days) and Michael Owen (18 years and 164 days).His United contract was extended to June 2020 in May 2016, to June 2023 in July 2019, to June 2024 in December 2022 and to June 2028 in July 2023.
