With his second hat-trick, Harry Kane became the first player to score 25 or more goals in his first 40 appearances for the England since Gary Lineker (27). He had now has scored five penalties in his last five appearances at Wembley Stadium for club and country (two for Tottenham Hotspur and three for England). Atletico Madrid's Kieran Trippier became the first player from a Spanish club to play for the England since David Beckham (Real Madrid) in June 2007.
