Thomas Meunier became the tenth different player to score for Belgium at Russia 2018 to equal the record for a World Cup finals set by France in 1982 and Italy in 2006. England failed to score for the second time in their last 11 games; both against Belgium. This was now the first time that England had lost three games at a World Cup finals.
