Man City favourites

Many of City’s rivals will hope they suffer a hangover from their sensational campaign, but Guardiola insists his charges will be ready to defend all their titles next season.
Liverpool to bounce back?
Liverpool endured a difficult 2022/23 campaign and ended up missing out on the top four having finished fifth. Jurgen Klopp’s men have been City’s closest challengers in recent years so they would have been hugely disappointed not to have even qualified for the Champions League.
However, the Merseysiders are being tipped to bounce back next season as Liverpool are currently priced as the 8/1 second favourites for the title. The Reds have already signed Alexis MacAllister from Brighton and are expected to bring in further reinforcements, so we should see Liverpool back to their best next season.
Arsenal go one better?
Arsenal will still be licking their wounds after missing out on the title last season. They were top of the table for the vast majority of the campaign but a late collapse allowed Man City to swoop in. Mikel Arteta has ambitious plans in the transfer market with Arsenal reportedly closing in on deals to sign Declan Rice and Kai Havertz. The Gunners need more depth and it certainly looks like they’ll address that issue this summer, so they’ll be quietly confident they can go one better and win the title next season.
Arsenal are priced as the 9/1 third favourites with the bookmakers right now, but those odds will look very tempting if Arteta manages to wrap-up deals for Rice and Havertz [as well as his other targets] over the coming weeks.
Manchester United are the10/1 fourth favourites to win the title after an encouraging first season in charge at Old Trafford for Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman guided United to the Carabao Cup and reached the final of the FA Cup. United also finished third in the Premier League and are expected to bring in a top class striker this summer, so they could be in the mix for the title next year.
Chelsea endured a nightmare 2022/23 season, but they are expected to improve significantly under new boss Mauricio Pochettino. The Blues are 16/1 outsiders to win the title and it would be a huge surprise if they did given they finished 12 last season. However, they have the money to buy quality players and Pochettino is a top manager, so they could be dark horses.
