League position: 24th Unused substitutes: Sasa Ilic, Gareth Evans and Danny Coid

Comments:

League position: 1st Unused substitutes: Dino Seremet, Michael Leary, Enoch Showunmi, Kevin Foley and Lee Mansell As Luton Town continued their best-ever start to a season, Steve Howard set a new club record by scoring in his ninth consecutive game. Four Hatters players had previously netted in seven games in a row; Andy Rennie in 1928-29, Jack Ball in 1934-35, Joe Payne in 1936-37 and Jessie Pye in 1952-53. The slight difference in the records is that the earlier quartet all scored in consecutive games played by Luton, while Steve's record is in consecutive games he played in. He had missed the final game of 2003-04 at Chesterfield due to suspension.
