The Blackpool striker was again among the goals in 2000-01, hitting hat-tricks against Stockport County in the Worthington Cup and Kidderminster Harriers and finishing with his best-ever tally.
He forged a very productive partnership up front with Brett Ormerod, the pair's goals proving vital to the Tangerines' promotion campaign.
John's strength in the air, an ability to lead the line and an eye for goal are his main talents.
John signed a new one-year contract with Blackpool in May 2004 that was extended to June 2007 in March 2005.
After a loan spell, he joined Macclesfield Town in January 2007 with a contract to the end of the season.
John joined Chester City in July 2007 with a two-year contract.
