Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane recently set some historic milestones when he was chosen as this year’s winner of the Ballon d’Or.
He is the first Bayern player since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981 and the first Englishman since Michael Owen in 2001 to receive the prestigious award.
Bayern stars have repeatedly been overlooked in the Ballon d’Or voting, most notably Franck Ribery in 2013, which makes Kane’s success this year even more special.
Kane’s Ballon d’Or will spark more demand for Bayern tickets
Kane’s current status as the best player in the world is guaranteed to trigger increased demand for Bayern matchday tickets, which is already off the scale.
Trusted secondary marketplaces such as Footbal lTicket Net are an invaluable resource for fans, offering them a secure way to buy tickets for sold-out and hard-to-get matches.

Bayern eager to provide fans with ‘special experiences’
With more than 400,000 members and a massive global fanbase, the demand for Bayern tickets is always phenomenally high.
Chief executive officer Jan-Christian Dreesen says that the support the club receives is overwhelming, but also presents significant challenges.
“The enormous interest in our matches is overwhelming and by no means something we can take for granted,” Dreesen said.
“We would like to sincerely thank all of our fans for this. It once again demonstrates the tremendous appeal of FC Bayern.
“The fact that we receive significantly more ticket requests than there are seats available for every match, both home and away, is an impressive testament to the bond between our fans and the club.
“We know that we cannot fulfil every request, but we are doing everything we can to continue providing our members and fan clubs with special experiences at the stadium.”
Despite the high demand for tickets, Munich city council has refused to allow Bayern to extend the capacity of the Allianz Arena above 75,000.
Home matches always sell out at the start of the season, and the club receives around 330,000 ticket applications for high-profile matches against Borussia Dortmund.
There have been calls for the council to approve a stadium expansion, and increasing the capacity appears to make plenty of sense.
However, the wider infrastructure in the area would need significant investment to allow it to cope with the additional number of supporters on matchdays.
Adding to the capacity would undoubtedly benefit the club and its fans, but the overall impact on the local region may result in an expansion being a non-starter.
