Are we done? The big transfers that could still happen this summer

The domestic leagues around Europe are kicking off once again. For the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Real Madrid, Dortmund and Barcelona, it was winning starts. But that doesn’t mean there won’t be a few more major additions to squads over the coming days.

The transfer window is still wide open, and there’s been some heavy spending. But with the futures of a number of big stars up in the air, will we see more? The answer is likely yes. A number of players are still trying to force moves, but who will get the one they desire?

Harry Kane

The Harry Kane saga has rumbled on for much longer than the England captain would like and he’ll be keen to get that move to Manchester City before the window slams shut.

So far it’s been a typical big money move from Spurs. In fact, you could have choreographed it or enjoyed a game of bingo with it. We’ve had the initial bid, the initial refusal, the player reportedly not turning up for training, and we’re sure there’s plenty more to come. In fact, Pep is now beginning to say they can’t afford the striker, so he may have to get on the most popular payment methods and enjoy a game of bingo to boost those coffers.

It seems inevitable Kane will make the move though, particularly with Manchester City’s lack of firepower in their opener against Spurs, while they also have a few more difficult fixtures to come over the next few weeks.

Kylian Mbappe

Just as fans were excited by the prospect of Neymar, Mbappe and Messi joining forces, it may be the most short-lived lethal strike force in history, with reports beginning to emerge that Real Madrid are desperate to sign the Frenchman.

It feels the sentiment is mutual, with Mbappe keen to help kick-start a new Galacticos era, only PSG stand in their way. The Parisian outfit do not want to sell, but with only a year left on his contract, and Mbappe refusing to sign, they may be forced into the move just to get some cash from their investment.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Should that move go ahead, Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo will be the optimum target for PSG, bringing Messi and Ronaldo together for the very first time.

Ronaldo could be set to leave the Italian giants either way. Real Madrid are believed to be interested with Carlo Ancelotti keen to bring the legend back to the Bernabeu, while he has also reportedly been offered to Manchester City, although that would prove an incredibly controversial move.
