Who will finish in the top four of the Premier League?

With just twelve matches played in this season’s Premier League, we are already getting a good idea of who the main contenders are to lift the trophy in May 2018.

So let’s have a look at which teams stand a good chance of ending the season in the top four positions of the Premier League.

Manchester City

Few people would be willing to bet against Manchester City’s chances of winning the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s side have shown a goalscoring prowess that has seen them hit the back of the net 40 times in just twelve games. What’s really impressive is the strength in depth in the side that shows that it’s not just superstars like Sergio Agüero and Kevin De Bruyne who have propelled Manchester City to the top of the table.

Chances of top four position: 5/5

Manchester United

However, you can never discount Manchester United. José Mourinho’s team have managed to show a real turnaround in fortunes with impressive performances against Chelsea and Tottenham serving to help fans forget about that embarrassing defeat to Huddersfield Town in October. And with the likes of Mesut Ozil rumoured to join the Old Trafford side at the end of the season to make another massive summer signing, it’s hoped that the Manchester United renaissance could well be underway.

Chances of top four position: 4/5

Chelsea

Last season’s champions, Chelsea, certainly made things difficult for themselves when they started their campaign with a shock defeat against Burnley. But it seems as though the side have found their form recently with encouraging victories against the likes of Manchester United. And so Antonio Conte’s team could be a good bet, so after crunching the data, see who Stratabet predict will finish in the top 4.

Chances of top four position: 4/5

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham have always managed to perform well, but they seem to throw it away at the last moment. Their recent surprising defeat against Arsenal once again shows how Mauricio Pochettino’s side might lack the nerve necessary to trouble the teams at the very top of the table. But with a string of relatively easy games against the likes of West Brom, Leicester and Watford to look forward to, they should still perform well.

Chances of top four position: 3/5

Liverpool

All Liverpool fans will know that there’s no such thing as an easy match. Whilst they managed to clock up impressive score-lines against the lowly likes of West Ham and Southampton recently, it’s still yet to be seen whether they have what it takes not to suffer any more embarrassing displays that was witnessed in their recent match against Sevilla.

Chances of top four position: 2/5

Arsenal

And finally, it seems that Arsenal still have an outside chance of finishing in the top four. Despite shameful performances against the likes of Watford and Stoke City this season, it looks like Arsene Wenger’s side is finally starting to show some resolve. So never discount the Gunners’ chances of a late fightback in this year’s Premier League.
