Premier League 2026/27: Early betting predictions for next season

The start of the 2026/27 Premier Leagues season is over two months away, but bookmakers have already published a wide range of betting markets for the upcoming campaign.

While the activity in the summer transfer window could reshape predictions for next season, there are some eye-catching odds in the early markets.

With that in mind, read on as we offer some early Premier League betting predictions for next season, starting with the title race.

Manchester United fancied to topple Arsenal

The latest Premier League betting for the 2026/27 season is as follows:

  • Arsenal – 6/4
  • Manchester City – 11/4
  • Liverpool – 5/1
  • Manchester United – 6/1
  • Chelsea – 10/1
  • Aston Villa – 25/1
  • Newcastle United – 40/1
  • Tottenham Hotspur – 50/1
  • Brighton & Hove Albion – 150/1
  • Bournemouth – 200/1
  • Everton – 250/1
  • Brentford – 250/1
  • Fulham – 500/1
  • Crystal Palace – 500/1
  • Leeds United – 500/1
  • Nottingham Forest – 500/1
  • Sunderland – 750/1
  • Ipswich Town – 1000/1
  • Coventry City – 1000/1
  • Hull City – 1000/1

Arsenal have been installed as the 6/4 favourites to retain the title after ending their 22-year wait to clinch top spot last season.

While the Gunners will be a tough nut to crack, they make limited appeal as a betting proposition given that other teams should be stronger next term.

Manchester City are second in the outright market and should give Arsenal a run for their money, despite losing manager Pep Guardiola this summer.

Liverpool are rated as 5/1 shots, but have plenty to prove as they embark on life under former Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola.

By contrast, Manchester United look set to mount a strong bid to dethrone Arsenal after ending the previous campaign with a flourish.

The Red Devils were much improved after Michael Carrick replaced Roben Amorim in the dugout, and they are a good bet at odds of 6/1 to win the title.

Chelsea should improve under Alonso

Chelsea ensured a miserable 2025/26 campaign, finishing tenth in the Premier League standings to miss out entirely on European qualification.

That could ultimately work in their favour next season, allowing new manager Xabi Alonso more time to work with the players.

Chelsea have a strong squad which needs steering in the right direction, and the former Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid manager should be a good fit for the club.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City look nailed on to fill three of the top four spaces, which will leave Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa battling for fourth spot.

The Blues hold plenty of appeal at odds of 11/10 to finish inside the top four and book a return to the Champions League for the 2027/28 campaign.

Ipswich set for another difficult season

Ipswich secured an immediate return to the top-flight by finishing second in the Championship last term. However, their stay could be a short one.

The Tractor Boys lasted just one season after winning promotion in 2024 and the same fate could befall them this time around.

Kieran McKenna’s shock decision to take a break from management has triggered an air of uncertainty around Portman Road.

Odds of 4/6 to finish in the bottom three are great value when considering they won just four games the last time they were in the Premier League.

Elsewhere, Newcastle United are worth backing to finish in the bottom half again. They finished 12th last season and are set to lose several key players this summer.

Anthony Gordon has already jumped ship to Barcelona, while Sandro Tonali has been strongly linked with a big-money move elsewhere.

Eddie Howe is worth considering in the ‘first manager to leave’ market, particularly if the Magpies fail to make a strong start to the new campaign.
