Phil Bardsley qualified to play for Scotland via his Glasgow-born father.
He joined Sunderland in January 2008 with a contract to June 2011.
Phil joined Stoke City in July 2014 with a three-year contract.
He joined Burnley in July 2017 with a two-year contract that was extended to June 2020 in May 2019, to June 2021 in June 2020 and to June 2022 in March 2021.
