This promising York City youngster was bedevilled by injuries in 2000-01, suffering from hamstring trouble early on and then damaging a knee cartilage. An initial operation appeared to have resolved the problem and he returned to the first team at the end of December before it flared up again. Christian is a midfield player with good control and the ability to run at opposition defenders.
Christian signed a new one-year contract with the Minstermen in July 2003.
