Comments:

League position: 11th West Ham United failed in their attempt to score three or more goals in four consecutive league games for the first time since September 1928 in League Division One. The Hammers had now taken eight points from their opening six games of this Premier League season; three fewer points than at the same stage of the previous season. Since the competition resumed on 17 June 2020, Michail Antonio had now scored 11 goals in 15 appearances in the Premier League; only Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane had now scored more goals in the division in the same period (12).

Comments:

League position: 12th Manchester City avoided losing more than one of their opening five games of a league season for the first time since 2008-09 in the Premier League. Phil Foden had now scored in three of his last four away games in the Premier League. This was the first time that City had named an unchanged starting line-up in consecutive games in all competitions since October 2017.
