Comments:

League position: 1st Manchester City had now equalled the all-time record for a top division team of winning 20 consecutive games in all competitions, which they had set during the 2017-18 season. City had now scored 100 goals in 44 games in the Premier League since 1 January 2020 (conceded 28). Michail Antonio's goal was the first that they had conceded in home games in the Premier League since the visit of West Bromwich Albion on 15 December 2020 (629 playing minutes).

Comments:

League position: 4th West Ham United had now lost two of their last ten games in the Premier League (won seven). The Hammers had now lost 19 of their 24 away games in the Premier League against a team starting the day at the top of the table (won two). If the season had started on 1 January 2021, they would now be second in the table with 22 points from ten games.
