Comments:

League position: 1st Manchester City became the first-ever top division team to score 100 goals in a season in their home games in all competitions. Vincent Kompany scored his 20th goal in all competitions for City. He became the second player to score in nine different seasons in the Premier League for City after David Silva. It was also City's 900th goal in all competitions at the Etihad Stadium. The Citizens had now beaten every team they had faced in the Premier League in consecutive seasons. The only other team to achieve this feat in the top division was Preston North End in 1888-89 and 1889-90 in League Division One. City had now won their last 13 games in the Premier League. A win in their final game of the season at Brighton and Hove Albion would now ensure that they would retain their Premier League title.
