Comments:

League position: 3rd Leicester City failed in their attempt to win their opening four games of a league season for the first time in their history. The Foxes' total of 12 goals scored after their first three games was the highest by any team at that stage of a season in the Premier League since 2012-13. City conceded three or more goals in a game at the King Power Stadium for the first time since a 4-0 loss to Liverpool in the Premier League on 26 December 2019. Harvey Barnes scored after 90 minutes but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review due to an offside decision.

Comments:

League position: 10th West Ham United had now won two of their last 12 away games in the Premier League (lost eight). Michail Antonio had now scored eight goals in ten away games in the Premier League in 2020; more than any other player. He became the first player to score in five consecutive away games in the top division for the Hammers since Mike Small in November 1991 in League Division One. They had now kept clean sheets in consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time since September 2019. As manager David Moyes was self-isolating having tested positive for COVID-19, assistant manager Alan Irvine was in charge of the team during this game.
