Comments:

League position: 12th Leicester City had now lost their last nine Premier League games against teams who had started the day at the top of the table, conceding at least two goals each time. They had now lost ten of their 11 games in the Premier League in 2017 against the teams that had finished in the top six last season. This was the Foxes' first defeat in their last seven games in all competitions. Leicester City manager Claude Puel said: “My first feeling is of frustration because we started the game very well with good organisation. It was a fantastic first move between Iborra and Jamie [Vardy]. I think it should have been a red card. All this can change the game. It was the first incident against us. I think Jamie is through on goal and the other defender [Vincent Kompany] can’t get back to him, because he is in the centre and Jamie is quick."

League position: 1st With this victory, Manchester City set a new club record of seven consecutive away league wins. City became the second team to win their opening six away games of a Premier League season (also Chelsea in 2008-09) This was now only the second time that a Premier League team had won 34 points from their first 12 games (also Manchester City in 2011-12). Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said: "The international break is always complicated, especially if you play away. It is complicated to defend against Leicester but we did really well. We did not concede one chance in 90 minutes. We missed the last pass, the last action but we arrive with lots of players attacking the back four. We continue with our good rhythm in terms of points and the way we play. We controlled the game for 90 minutes."
