Sisson started the 2000-01 season in excellent form in central midfield for Mansfield Town, but had the misfortune to suffer a serious knee injury at Exeter early in September that put him out of action for the remainder of the campaign. He is a hard-working player who is strong in the tackle and closes opponents down quickly.
Sisson was released by the Stags in November 2002.
