Munroe provided a real physical presence in the centre of midfield for Macclesfield Town in the early part of 2000-01 but, after featuring fairly regularly until December, he gave way to the more experienced partnership of Kevin Keen and Chris Priest.
The high point of his campaign came in the Worthington Cup First Round second leg tie against Bolton Wanderers when he picked up a loose clearance and chipped the ball into an empty net from 35 yards to score his first goal in senior football.
Munroe was made available for transfer by Macclesfield in March 2004.
He has also played for Droylsden and Hyde.
