Comments:

League position: 18th This was new manager David Moyes' first home game in charge of West Ham United. He had now failed to win any of his 11 Premier League home games in 2017 (lost seven) so equalling the record set by Mick McCarthy in 2005 (lost eight). The Hammers' total of of ten points from their first 13 Premier League games is their worst start since the 2010-11 season when they went on to be relegated. They had still yet to win a Premier League game at the London Stadium when they conceded the first goal (drawn three and lost ten). West Ham United manager David Moyes said: "I thought the players’ performance warranted more. I thought the crowd were fantastic, so all the negatives I’ve heard about the crowd, I thought the opposite and that they were great, they really were. I think any player will tell you that West Ham has always been a tough place to come over the years, with a tough crowd and they can make it that way in this stadium as well, and I think they did tonight."

League position: 11th Leicester City were now unbeaten in their last five away games in the Premier League; their best such run since the final five games of their 2015-16 title-winning season. Only AFC Bournemouth (six) now had more different English-born goalscorers in the Premier League so far in this season than the Foxes (Jamie Vardy, Harry Maguire, Demarai Gray and Marc Albrighton). They had still are yet to win a Premier League game played on a Friday (drawn two and lost three) although both teams had scored in all five games. Leicester City manager Claude Puel said: "We had to kill the game in the first-half. With the goal before half-time West Ham took confidence. They were aggressive as was the atmosphere inside the stadium. It was important then to keep this result. We couldn't find Mahrez or Vardy in space and that was a disappointment. It was difficult in the second-half."
