Comments:

League position: 8th This was the third consecutive home game in the Premier League that Watford had faced a former manager (also Sean Dyche of Burnley and Everton's Marco Silva). Andre Gray had now scored the winning goal in Watford's last two home games in the Premier League after coming on as a substitute. The Hornets failed in their attempt to keep three consecutive clean sheets in home games in the Premier League for the first time since April 2017. They had now won 150 games in the top division (played 469, lost 211).

Comments:

League position: 11th This was new manager Brendan Rodgers' first game in charge. It was also his first meeting in the Premier League against Watford, where he began his managerial career (31 games from November 2008 to June 2009) when the Hornets were playing in the League Championship. The Foxes had now conceded 12 goal in the opening 15 minutes of their games so far in this Premier League season; more than any other team in the division. Jamie Vardy had now scored the first goal in the Premier League under City’s last four permanent managers (also Claudio Ranieri, Craig Shakespeare and Claude Puel). He also became the first player to score ten or more goals in four consecutive seasons in the top division for Leicester since Alan Smith from 1983-84 to 1986-87.
