League position: 20th Unused substitutes: Richard Lee and Cedric Avinel At a Football Association Disciplinary Commission hearing on 1 May 2007, a claim for mistaken identity from Watford defender Danny Shittu was accepted. The club's claim was made on the basis that the yellow card [after 34 minutes] should have been shown to Shittu's team-mate Clarke Carlisle. As a result, the caution was transferred to Carlisle who had already been shown a yellow card at the time of the incident. Although Carlisle completed this game, he was therefore suspended for the following match as this would have been the due sanction for a dismissal.
