Final league position 2019-20: 3rd Manchester United finished the season with 66 points. The only team to finish in 3rd position in a Premier League season with fewer points was Liverpool in 1997-98 (65 points). United’s penalty was their 14th spot-kick in this Premier League season; the most that any team had even been awarded in a season in the competition. Harry Maguire became the first outfield player since Gary Pallister in 1994-95 to start every game in a Premier League season for the Red Devils.
