Comments:

League position: 16th Leicester City had now lost their last seven games in the Premier League against last season's top six. The Foxes had now equalled their lowest points total after a six-game start to a Premier League season (also four points in 1994-95). Shinji Okazaki had now scored four goals in his last seven Premier League appearances. Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare said: "We have to dust ourselves down this week. There is no feeling sorry for ourselves. We have to get back to work and try to put more points on the table. It is mixed emotions. You sit here and have no points and I have been told by a lot of people how we have contributed to a great game but as a manager it doesn’t mean anything to you because the players will be in there now feeling very disappointed not to come away with something."

League position: 5th Simon Mignolet saved Jamie Vardy's 73rd minute penalty. Since joining Liverpool for the 2013-14 season, he had now saved seven of the 15 Premier League penalties he had faced; more than any other goalkeeper. This was Liverpool's first win in their last five games in all competitions but had now lost only one of their last eight games in the Premier League. The Reds had now conceded ten goals in their last three away games in the Premier League; the most they had conceded over a three away game run in the competition's history. Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp said: "I know about pressure a lot – I actually had it all my life because of different reasons. Pressure when it is the right pressure, it always helps. When it is without sense then it doesn't help – and I'm very good at ignoring it. But, you can imagine, we want to be successful. We know the quality we have makes us responsible for being successful. I know that. But I said to the boys before the game that we are not the Harlem Globetrotters. We don't go out and try to play really good football, we are here for results and so we play for results."
