Comments:

League position: 8th This was Leicester City’s second defeat in their last 12 games in the Premier League. The Foxes failed to score for the second time in their last 16 home games in the Premier League. Wilfred Ndidi became the fourth player to be sent off on his birthday in a Premier League game (also Dwight Gayle on 17 October 2015 against West Ham United, Gerry Taggart on 18 October 1997 against West Ham United and Les Ferdinand on 8 December 1993 against Liverpool).

Comments:

League position: 14th Christian Benteke’s opener was the first goal that Crystal Palace had scored in an away game in the Premier League since he scored at Liverpool on 23 April 2017. Palace had now kept three consecutive clean sheets in away games in the Premier League for the first time. Eagles boss Roy Hodgson had still yet to lose a competitive game against Leicester City as a manager (won four, drawn one).
