Comments:

League position: 17th Leicester City had now lost three of their opening four games of a Premier League season for the first time since the 1994-95. Jamie Vardy had now scored 11 goals in 17 Premier League appearances under manager Craig Shakespeare. Since the start of 2016-17, the Foxes had now lost 11 of their 15 Premier League games against last season's top six teams (won two). Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare said: "Performance-wise, I thought it was okay, looking at the commitment and endeavour. History tells you Chelsea may go on and win by three or four but we showed a lot of character and resilience. When we got back to 2-1 we just couldn't find that final bit that was required to get something from the game and I just feel at the moment the big moments aren't going our way."

Comments:

League position: 3rd This was Chelsea's first away win in the Premier League in the month of September since a 2-1 success at Arsenal in 2012 (drawn four and lost three). The Blues had now won seven of their last eight away games in the Premier League. Former Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante scored the third goal of his Premier League career in this game. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said: "We must be delighted because we had a good performance. We played very well. We were in total control and could have scored more goals. The penalty changed the situation. They tried to push but despite this we had chances to improve the score. It is a good result and a good performance. After the international break it is not easy."
