VenueKing Power Stadium

Kick-off: 3.00pm This was Leicester City's first home game following the helicopter crash at the King Power Stadium shortly after the Premier League game against West Ham United that caused the death of Foxes' owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, two members of his staff (Nusara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare), the pilot (Eric Swaffer) and co-pilot (Izabela Roza Lechowicz). Prior to this game, thousands of City fans took part in a memorial walk in their honour. The 5,000-1 walk was named after the odds the club overcame to clinch their remarkable 2016 Premier League title success. The supporters marched from Jubilee Square to the King Power Stadium. Leicester City were now unbeaten in the last eight home league meetings since November 2007 (won four). Burnley failed in their attempt to win consecutive league games against Leicester City for the first time since August 2006. It was now 50 years since they did so in the top division. Comments:

League position: 10th Leicester City failed to score for the first time in their last 14 games in the Premier League and, after 12 games, became the last of the 20 teams to fail to score in a game in this Premier League season. The Foxes had now kept clean sheets in consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time since January 2018. They had now won three of their last 13 home games in the Premier League (lost four).

Comments:

League position: 15th This was Burnley’s second clean sheet in their last 11 games in the Premier League. In their three preceding games, the Clarets had conceded four or more goals in three consecutive league games for the first time since February 1925. They avoided becoming the first team to concede four or more goals in four consecutive games in the top division since Arsenal in December 1959 in League Division One. They avoided equalling their club record of eight defeats in their first 12 games of a top division season (set in 1888-89, 1889-90 and 1970-71).
