Comments:

Unused substitutes: Paul Pettinger, Paul Mayo, Adam Buckley and Kingsley Black. Simon Weaver claimed the Imps first goal of the season, although most sources credited Richard Logan. Weaver told the club's official web site: "The ball was going about a yard wide and Loges admitted at half time that I got the crucial touch. "He'd got enough power to the header for me to chest it past the keeper. I'd like to say I directed it in but it was good to see it come of my chest and into the back of the net. "It's a surprise to get on the scoresheet in my first game and it's a real bonus. I didn't know what to do with myself when we scored. Some of the lads were congratulating me whilst some were with Loges but I definitely got the last touch and am only too happy to claim it."
