Comments:

League position: 6th Huddersfield Town had now won one of their last five home league games having won nine of the previous 12. The Terriers failed in their attempt to become only the fifth newly-promoted team to take at least ten points from their opening five games of a Premier League season. They also failed to become only the third newly-promoted team to keep a clean sheet in their opening three Premier League home games after Swansea City in 2011-12 and Watford in 2015-16. Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner: "I'm disappointed with a point. It was a harsh decision from the linesman [to disallow a goal for offside] because it was a clear second goal we scored. It was a great team effort and a good performance. It was high intense football against a top-quality side. I am massively disappointed we had this wrong decision that was an important one. From my point of view it is clear he is onside."

League position: 15th Leicester City avoided losing four of their first five games of a Premier League season for a second time (previously in 1994-95). Since their return to the Premier League in 2014, the Foxes had now won 25 penalties, scoring from 19. Only Manchester City (26 taken, 20 scored) had more. Jamie Vardy had now scored 12 goals in 18 Premier League appearances under manager Craig Shakespeare. Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare said: "We have had it [a disallowed goal] go against us and probably this went for us. If you had offered me a point at half-time I'd have snapped your hand off. First-half performance we were second best and you have to give credit to the home team, the way that they applied themselves. We had quite a few players off the pace but ultimately, at the end of the game when you assess it as a manager, we've played a lot better than that this season and got nothing."
