League position: 20th Burnley remained without a win in nine meetings with Leicester City since a 3-0 victory in the League Championship on 21 August 2010. Matt Taylor missed a penalty a minute before Leicester City scored their goal. He had converted seven of the eight penalties he had previously taken in the Premier League. The Clarets had now only scored one goal in their last eight Premier League matches.

League position: 17th Leicester City moved out of the Premier League's bottom three for the first time since 22 November 2014. They did so by completing a run of four consecutive top division wins for the first time since 8 October 1966 when goals from Jimmy Goodfellow, Davie Gibson and Mike Stringfellow secured a 3-0 victory against Nottingham Forest at Filbert Street. The run ended in the following game with a 5-2 defeat at Burnley. The Foxes had now won on four consecutive league visits to Turf Moor for the first time in their history.
