Comments:

League position: 10th Aston Villa had now won three of their four games in the Premier League under recently appointed manager Steven Gerrard (lost one). Ezri Konsa became the first recognised defender to score two or more goals in a game in the Premier League for Villa since Ciaran Clark against Arsenal on 27 November 2010. Ollie Watkins failed in his attempt to become the first player to score in four consecutive home games in the Premier League for Villa since Gareth Barry in November 2006. Jacob Ramsy scored after 45 minutes but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review due to a foul.

Comments:

League position: 11th Leicester City had now failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 15 games in all competitions, and one in their last 21. The Foxes became the first team to score and concede in 15 consecutive away games in the Premier League; previously 14 by Blackburn Rovers in 2012. Harvey Barnes had now scored more goals against Aston Villa in the Premier League than he had against any other opposing team (four).
