Comments:

League position: 19th AFC Bournemouth had now taken four points from their seven Premier League games so far in this season; fewer than in both of their two previous Premier League campaigns (seven in 2015-16 and eight in 2016-17). This was now the Cherries' worst start to a league season since 2011-12 when they lost seven of their opening eight games in League One. This was their first clean sheet in their last ten games in the Premier League. AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said: "Very disappointed not to win, I thought we did everything to do that, the intent, attitude and energy of the team was very good. Right from the first few minutes I thought we made a really good start to the game, created a number of chances. The most positive thing I can say is that despite the fact we dominated and made all those chances, we did not concede at the other end. And sometimes that can happen in games like this when you are so dominant."

League position: 17th Leicester City had now taken five points from seven games so far in this season; their joint-lowest total at this stage of a Premier League campaign (also 1994-95, 2001-02 and 2003-04). The Foxes had now won one of their last ten games in the Premier League (lost six). Only bottom-of-the-table Crystal Palace (18) had now lost more Premier League games in 2017 than City (14). Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare said: "It's a hard-earned point. I felt we started the game very slowly and gave the momentum to Bournemouth. To come away with a point on reflection is a hard-earned point. We had to defend with resilience in numbers. We didn't quite have that quality on the ball. On Monday I'll sit down and think 'a point well-earned'. We have to move on now."
