Comments:

League position: 10th AFC Bournemouth were now guaranteed the highest league finish in their 118-year history. The Cherries had now lost only one of their last six home games in the Premier League (won four) after winning none of the previous five (lost three). Josh King had now scored 13 goals in 18 appearances in the Premier League in 2017. Only Everton's Romelu Lukaku (14) had scored more in the same period. AFC Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe said: "It was a really good day for us. We're safe and it was asked if our standards would drop but we didn't. Our goals were executed really well. We can shake off the odd knock and setback and we have won many points after going behind."

League position: 14th Burnley had now lost 14 away games in the Premier League in this season; no other side had lost more. The Clarets failed in their attempt to win consecutive away games in the Premier League for only the second time (also their last two away games in 2014-15). Former AFC Bournemouth forward Sam Vokes had now scored four goals in his last four Premier League appearances after scoring five in his previous 58 games. Burnley manager Sean Dyche said: "We gave away two really soft goals. We have had some big results lately and we looked flat today. Maybe it was one game too many. Josh King was the difference I thought. He has been on fire and he played well again today."
