Harry Arter is the brother-in-law of former Chelsea and West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker, who became his manager at Fulham in 2019.
He signed his first pro contract at Charlton Athletic in April 2007. It ran to June 2009.
His contract at AFC Bournemouth was extended to June 2014 in September 2011, to June 2015 in October 2012, to June 2018 in January 2015, to June 2019 in June 2016 and to June 2021 in July 2017.
He joined Nottingham Forest in September 2020 with a three-year contract that was extended to June 2024 in May 2022.
