PositionForward

Rosler joined Southampton after becoming a free agent when his former club Borussia Tennis Berlin folded, but he had an unfortunate time at The Dell last term and struggled to make an impact. Hampered by a nagging groin problem that required two operations and sidelined him for long periods, he found his way blocked by a rejuvenated James Beattie and when fit he spent much of his time on the substitutes' bench. He managed just a single goal all season - and that was in the Worthington Cup victory at Third Division Mansfield -but as a true professional he will no doubt put these troubles behind him when the 2001-02 campaign begins.
