The regular right back for the Polish national team, Tomasz began his senior career with his local side MKP Zgierz and then moved on to LKS Lodz. In 1998 he left his home country for a three-year spell at Auxerre before joining Kaiserslautern for the 2000-01 season. Tomasz won his first cap against Paraguay in February 1998.
