Joining Newcastle United on loan from Paris St Germain, Sylvain Distin took time to settle on Tyneside when he was usually employed in the left-back role.
He joined Portsmouth in July 2007 with a two-year contract.
Sylvain joined Everton in August 2009 with a three-year contract that was extended to June 2013 in May 2012, to June 2014 in January 2013 and to June 2015 in January 2014.
He joined AFC Bournemouth in July 2015 with a one-year contract.
