Steven Walklate

This young midfielder gave some steady performances for Darlington at the start of last season and impressed with his calm approach and direct passing. He made his debut from the subs' bench against York City in early September and started four days later in the Worthington Cup tie at Nottingham Forest. However he then made only a handful of senior appearances for the Quakers before being released early in the new year and after a brief spell with Blyth Spartans he signed for Queen of the South where he featured regularly in the closing weeks of the campaign.
