As a promising Torquay United youngster,Steve dislodged the more experienced Paul Holmes from the right-back position in 2000-01 and retained his place in the Gulls' line-up until suffering an injury in February that caused him to miss the remainder of the campaign.
Steve is a determined defender with great stamina who is always willing to push forward down the flank.
He was placed on the transfer list in January 2002 before being released at the end of the season.
His contract at Exeter City was extended to June 2011 in May 2010.
