Clemence continued to make steady progress at Tottenham Hotspur in 2000-01 when he became a regular in the first team, holding his place as a result of some good solid performances.
A skilful central midfield player, he grew in confidence as the campaign wore on and added a much-needed degree of continuity in the centre of the park.
A player who likes to get forward into the opponents' box and is prepared to go out wide to get possession, he managed just a single goal, netting at the near post in the 3-2 win at Sunderland.
Clemence is the son of the former England goalkeeper Ray Clemence.
He joined Leicester City in July 2007 with a three-year contract but announced his retirement in April 2010 due to a heel injury.
