This was a re-played game affter the original tie on 28 August 2007 was abandoned at half-time when Leicester City defender Clive Clarke suffered heart failure. Nottingham Forest led the abandoned game 1-0 with a goal after 28 minutes by Junior Agogo. In an act of oustanding sportsmanship, from the kick-off of this re-played game, the Leicester City players allowed Forest keeper Paul Smith to dribble the ball past them, unchallenged, and score in to an empty net. The goal was timed at 13 seconds. In an added twist, Gary Megson - in only his second game in charge of Leicester - was making his first return to the City Ground after being sacked as Forest manager in February 2006.
