This young right back joined Blackpool in the summer of 2000 after being released by Liverpool. He made his Football League debut against Hull on the opening day of last season but after appearing in a run of five consecutive games he was dropped and spent most of the remainder of the season developing in the Tangerines' reserve team. Neil went on the Bloomfield Road transfer list in September 2001.
