Bloomer found his opportunities limited at Grimsby Town but didn't let anyone down when they have come along.
He was released in the summer of 2001 and joined Hull City on a free.
Bloomer's grandfather - Jimmy Bloomer - also played for Grimsby and Hull.
His contract with the Tigers was subsequently cancelled by mutual consent in January 2003.
He moved on to Lincoln City on non-contract terms before signing a one-year deal in July 2003 which was extended to June 2006 in June 2005.
Bloomer returned to Grimsby Town in January 2007 with a contract to the end of the season.
