Hollund had a disappointing time at Hartlepool in 2000-01 after having made great progress the previous season. He began as the club's first choice goalkeeper but lost his place to newcomer Anthony Williams following the 3-1 home defeat by Shrewsbury and never managed to get back in the team.

Hollund returned to Norway with Lov-Ham IL after leaving Hartlepool at the end of the 2001-02 season.
