Irish international Jim Beglin played an important part in winning the 1st Division Championship and FA Cup Double in 1986. The tough tackling, intelligent left back was also a European Cup runner-up 1985. Unfortunately he broke his leg playing against Everton and never regained a regular first team place, moving on to Leeds United before retiring in 1991.
