Guy Branston

Branston was a tower of strength on the left side of the back three for Rotherham United in 2000-01, playing a major role in the club's battle for a second successive promotion.

Very strong in the tackle and excellent in the air, he is never perturbed by opponents and, in addition to defending superbly, he came up with some vital goals.

However, he accumulated a number of bookings leading to several spells out through suspension.

Branston went on the Rotherham United transfer list in September 2003.

He joined Oldham Athletic in February 2005 with a contract to June 2006.

In July 2006, Branston joined Peterborough United in a two-year deal but was made available for transfer in May 2007 before the contract was cancelled in December 2007.

He joined Notts County in January 2008 on a monthly contract.

After a loan spell, Branston joined Torquay United in July 2010 with a one-year contract.

He joined Bradford City in July 2011 with a two-year contract but was made available for transfer in May 2012.

Branston joined Aldershot Town in June 2012 with a one-year contract that was cancelled in January 2013.

He then joined Plymouth Argyle with a contract to June 2013 that was extended to June 2014 in May 2013 before it was cancelled in March 2014.
