PositionDefender/Midfielder

Todd is a versatile player equally comfortable at right back, as a central defender or in midfield.

He found it difficult to break into the Charlton Athletic team at the beginning of 2000-01 and was restricted to a couple of appearances at right back in October.

However, when Radostin Kishishev was moved from right back to midfield, Mark Fish took over at full back and Todd was able to seize his chance as a central defender.

He slotted into the side brilliantly, holding off Steve Brown, Carl Tiler and Greg Shield to make the position his own.

He is a strong competitive player, sharp in the tackle, confident on the ball and calm under pressure.

Todd, who is the son of former England international Colin Todd, scored his first goal for the Addicks with a firm header against Leicester City at The Valley.

Todd's contract at Blackburn Rovers was extended to June 2008 in February 2005, but was made available for transfer in May 2007.

He joined Derby County in July 2007 with a two-year contract but was made available for transfer in May 2008.

Todd joined Oldham Athletic in January 2011 with a contract to June 2011.

He joined Hereford United in October 2011 on non-contract terms.
