Wright has a giant heart for a small man, his constant forays down the left have brought many goals for Aston Villa's strikeforce.
Notable for being one of Kenny Dalglish's first buys at Blackburn Rovers, Wright moved to Villa from Blackburn Rovers for £1million in 1995.
Not capped at full international level, although he has come close a few times, Wright played for the Under-21 team.
After a loan spell with the Blades, Wright joined Sheffield United in January 2004 but was made available for transfer in May 2006.
Wright joined Cheltenham Town in October 2007 on non-contract terms before soon agreeing a deal to the end of the 2007-08 season that was extended to June 2009 in July 2008.
