Signed by Leicester City in the 2000 close season for a club record fee, it was originally thought that Ade would play alongside an experienced striker in his early days in the Premiership.

However, he soon found that he was thrust into the deep end after the two potential partners, Stan Collymore and Tony Cottee, quickly departed from Filbert Street.

Things were tough for Ade throughout his inaugural campaign with the Foxes, as he suffered both from the lack of a reliable service and the need to adapt to a series of different front-line partners.

The signing of Dean Sturridge was a turning point for him and he eventually went on to finish as their leading scorer with a double-figure tally.

A strong and speedy striker, he has the attributes to become a handful for any defence.

Ade, who is a cousin of Cheltenham Town forward Kay Odejayi, was made available for transfer by Crystal Palace in July 2003.

He joined Stoke City in September 2003 in a three-year deal.

Ade joined Burnley in February 2005 with a contract to June 2008.

Ade joined Sheffield United in January 2006 with a contract to June 2009.

He returned to Burnley in January 2007 with a contract to June 2009.

Ade joined Notts County in September 2009 with a contract to June 2010.
